INEOS GRENADIER
Originally designed on a beer mat by Jimmy Ratcliffe in “The Grenadier” pub in Belgravia (which he later acquired), the INEOS Grenadier has come a long way since then. Said to be “built on purpose”, with a reported £1.4bn of investment and 1.8 million km of road testing. Automatic transmission and modern-day comforts – great for longer adventures.

Legends never die. The Defender 110 is iconic in English off-roading; favoured by the royal family on their sporting estates and the car of choice for international overlanders. If you prioritise comfort over rugged capability, then the INEOS Grenadier might be the better choice for you. However, once you’re behind the wheel of a Defender don’t be surprised if you fall for its charms.
